Monthly Meeting: Tuesday, June 18th at 7:30 pm Fort Nonsense Brewing Company 220 Franklin Rd, Randolph, NJ 07869 |
Join us on Tuesday, June 18th at 7:30 pm at Fort Nonsense in Randolph. We have an really fun and open-ended club-only competition (CoC) in store for everyone. This month’s CoC is – Brew any beer, any style and ferment it with Safale US-05. US-05 is a dry version of the famous Chico strain that put craft beer on the map. It is such a versatile yeast strain that is well suited to a wide variety of beer styles that go well beyond it’s namesake American Pale Ale. For those entering, remember to bring a six-pack, 3 bombers, or a growler of your entry so we have enough to pour for all of the attendees. This is going to be a really fun and exciting competition. Even if you don’t have an entry, come join us to sample all of the fun creations and enjoy some fine beers from our hosts at Fort Nonsense. We can’t wait to see you there. |
Master Homebrewer Program Exciting news! MASH is joining forces with the Master Homebrewer Program, a nonprofit organization dedicated to recognizing and promoting excellence in amateur brewing. This partnership offers our members a fantastic opportunity to showcase their brewing prowess and elevate their skills to the next level. Whether you’re a seasoned brewer or just getting started, the Master Homebrewer Program provides a platform to celebrate your dedication to crafting high-quality beer, mead, and cider. Aligned with the scoring system of the Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP), this collaboration allows MASH members to participate in sanctioned homebrew competitions and receive recognition and awards based on their scoresheets. As part of MASH, you’ll have the chance to contribute to our club’s collective success while also gaining personal recognition for your brewing achievements. To join, each member will need to pay a discounted rate of $5, payable to MASH. After that you can register with the MHP and submit your scoresheets. Join us in embracing the art and science of homebrewing as we embark on this exciting journey with the Master Homebrewers Program. Please direct any questions to Paul Jones and the competition committee. |
