How it works

Points are awarded to brewers whose beers receive medals. The top brewer takes home the coveted MASH Homebrewer of the Year wooden plaque to hold until they are unseated by another brewer.

  • Medal Points: Each 1st place medal earns 5 points, 2nd place medal earns 3 points, and 3rd place medal place earns 1 point. If an entry takes a Best of Show medal the brewer earns an additional 9 points for 1st, 7 points for 2nd, and 5 point for third. A Brewers Choice Award earns 5 points.
  • Co-Brewer Information: Double points cannot be earned for the same beer. Points are awarded based on the club member whose name the entry is submitted under in the competition regardless of who is listed as co-brewer.
