The National Homebrew Competition (NHC), an AHA/BJCP sanctioned competition, is the world’s largest international beer competition recognizing the most outstanding homebrewed beer, mead, and cider produced by amateur brewers worldwide. This years NHC features 31 judging categories evaluated at 12 judging centers around the country. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners from each category in each region advance to the final round.
The final round this year will be held in Baltimore Maryland on June 9th as part of the 2016 Homebrew Con. The majority of MASH members enter the New York region and the results were posted today.
Three MASH brewers placed in 4 different categories.
Todd Townsend placed third in Category 29 with a Spice, Herb, Vegetable Mead.
Tom Jambor placed 1st in Category 4 with a Munich Dunkel
Dan Roebuck placed 3rd in Category 8 with a British Strong Bitter and 2nd in Category 14 with Sweet Stout.
